The show goes on…

I officially know what it feels like to be a robot. Over the past month and a half I have been continuing to process and analyze my data, going through the process of adding channel locations to each subject, then removing bad channels and those pesky data artifacts caused by blinks and horizontal eye movements. After that, it is time to separate the data into bins based on the different conditions in each of the tasks, and then filtering and cleaning up the data. And so it goes, locations, bad channels, blinks, bins, clean, locations, bad channels, blinks, bins, clean, over and over until all fifty-two subjects are ready for further studying.

Don’t get me wrong, it is monotonous sometimes, but it is all worth it when you move past the data processing stage and get real results! Nothing beats the feeling of seeing that p value below .05 and knowing that the blood, sweat and tears that you have put into your project was all worth it. Now for the writing part.

Autism Fun Fact: Did you know that “changeling” children, or non-human children that took the place of human children in the middle of the night, described in ancient European Folklore were probably autistic children?

Asperger’s Fun Fact: If you look at recent pop-culture, you can see characters with autistic personality traits, for example, Sherlock Holmes.
