Ethics of Infinity: Abstract

What can we learn from encounters with infinity? In a famous scene in the Hindu sacred text, the Bhagavad-Gita, Arjuna, the hero of the Bhagavad-Gita, encounters the infinite nature of the cosmos. My research will focus on learning how we, as finite entities like Arjuna, can create meaning through perceiving infinity by studying the text of the Bhagavad-Gita in its original Sanskrit, direct experience with meditation, researching western philosophical responses to infinity, and by reading four different commentaries on the Bhagavad-Gita.
